The United Way of Southeast Arkansas is proud to announce a partnership with Pine Bluff Parks & Recreation for our 2022 Day of Caring. The event will be held on September 30th in Pine Bluff, AR; Jefferson County.
Day of Caring is a community-wide effort that brings together volunteers and local businesses to provide short-term, project-focused volunteer service with non-profit and public organizations.
The annual one-day event gives volunteers an opportunity to assist community organizations in achieving their goals, learn more about solutions to community issues, and experience the intrinsic rewards of contributing to the well-being of our local area.
By collaborating, Pine Bluff Parks & Recreation and United Way of Southeast Arkansas will be able to join their areas of expertise and experience to foster more and stronger volunteer connections for local community organizations.
The United Way of Southeast Arkansas welcomes the opportunity to partner with Pine Bluff Parks & Recreation to extend and enhance our Day of Caring. Our two organizations have a common interest in promoting voluntarism, economic development, and healthy activities which we know benefits the volunteers as well as the recipient organizations and the community at large,” said Samuel Glover, Executive Director.
The United Way of Southeast Arkansas began the local event approximately 8 years ago under the current leadership of Leslie Dorn/ United Way, Executive Director. The annual event had a slight pause during COVID restrictions but is returning to its original fall schedule. United Way is so excited to "get our community back together again"!
